Estate planning, finally organized
Getting your affairs in order, made simple.
One day, someone you love will need to know where everything is. Life & Death Planner walks you through it one simple question at a time, covering your accounts, documents, wishes, and who gets what. Then it shares everything with the right people at the right time.
Free at launch. iOS first, Android to follow.

How it works
Overwhelming subject. Gentle process.
You don't need to know where to start. The app always knows what matters next.
Answer one question at a time
A guided flow asks simple questions in plain language, starting with what your family would need first. A few minutes at a time is enough. Skip anything; come back anytime.
Add the details that matter
Attach photos of your belongings, scan in wills and deeds, note where accounts live and who to call. Record who gets what, down to the ring and the toolbox.
Share it on your terms
Invite the people you trust. You decide exactly when each person can see your planner: right away, on a date, if you're incapacitated, or only after your death is verified.
Security & privacy
Built for the most personal information you have.
This app exists to protect your family, starting with your data.
Encrypted in transit & access-controlled
Your data is encrypted in transit and guarded by row-level security, so no other user can reach your planner. Only the people you explicitly authorize can see it, at the timing you choose.
Secrets stay out by design
We never ask for your Social Security number or account passwords. You record where things live and how to get access the right way, not the secrets themselves.
Private photo & document storage
Photos and documents live in private storage. There are no public URLs, and every link the app creates expires automatically.
No AI reads your planner
Your planner contents are never sent to any AI service. Task suggestions come from simple logic on your device, so your data stays yours.
Never sold. No ads.
We don't sell your information and we don't run ads. Even crash reports are sent without your identity attached: no name, no email, no account linkage.
Leave anytime, with everything
Export your full planner as a PDF whenever you like, and permanently delete your account and every piece of your data from inside the app.
Digital and physical
An app and a binder.
Life & Death Planner lives in two places at once: a guided app on your phone and a printed binder on your shelf, so your plan is never locked behind a single device or a forgotten login.
The app keeps everything organized, searchable, and ready to share with the people who will need it, from funeral wishes to where the safe combination lives. The binder gives your family something real to hold, right where they would think to look.
What families say
Peace of mind, in their words.
"After my father passed, we spent eight months hunting for accounts and passwords. I never want my kids to go through that. This walked me through everything in a few weekends."
"My husband refused to talk about any of this for thirty years. The one-question-at-a-time approach finally got him to write it all down. I can't overstate the relief."
"I was named executor for my mother. Executor Mode told me exactly what to do in what order: death certificates, Social Security, the insurance calls. It was a lifeline."
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is the app really free?
Yes. Life & Death Planner is completely free, with every section, sharing, and PDF export included. If we ever introduce optional paid features, everything you've entered stays yours.
Is my information safe?
Protecting your information is the core of how the app is built. Your data is encrypted in transit, stored with a provider that encrypts it at rest, and guarded by row-level security so no other user can reach your planner. Only the viewers you explicitly authorize can see it, at the timing you choose, and photos and documents live in private storage behind time-limited links. The planner isn't end-to-end encrypted, so we don't claim no one at our company can ever access it; we access data only to operate the service, support you, or meet a legal obligation. We never sell your data, we don't run ads, and your planner contents are never sent to any AI service. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Do you store Social Security numbers or passwords?
No, and that's deliberate. The app never asks for your SSN or your account passwords. Instead, you record where your card is kept and how your family can get access the right way (like each platform's official legacy tools). That way, the most dangerous secrets are never in the app to begin with.
What happens to my planner when I die?
A person you designate confirms it in the app, with a death certificate or a written account of what happened, before anything unlocks. Once verified, each authorized viewer receives the access you assigned them, and your executor gets a step-by-step settlement checklist built from your planner. The same verified process applies if you chose to grant someone access on incapacity.
Is this a legal will?
No. Life & Death Planner organizes your information and wishes so your family can find and carry them out, but it doesn't create or execute legal documents. For wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, work with a qualified attorney, then record where those documents live in your planner so they're findable when it counts.
Someone invited me to view their planner. What do I do?
Someone trusts you with what matters most to them. When the app is available, create an account with the same email address the invitation was sent to. Their planner will be waiting for you, with whatever access and timing they chose.
Can I get my information out, or delete it?
Always. Export your entire planner as a binder-style PDF anytime, and permanently delete your account and all of your data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). No emails, no phone calls, no retention games.
What about the physical binder?
The binder is half of Life & Death Planner, not an afterthought. The app guides you through building your plan and keeps it current, and a printed binder puts it on your shelf, so what matters lives both digitally and physically. You can also export your planner as a print-ready PDF anytime.
